Project: Content Management Solution
Synopsis: Dioceses of Greensburg desired a dynamic web environment, with workflow and tracking for the publishing of the information for the Diocese and its newspaper organization.

Our initial task was to provide DoG with a tool that could their desired environments. This system needed to be designed with a high level of scalability and the capability for multiple access points.

The Solution incorporates:
– Serial Workflow with an ADHOC twist
– Content Management
– Document Tracking and Audit Trail

The C-Technologies T3 product acts as a Content and Knowledge Management portal for the Diocese. Access to these functional areas is restricted via name and password login. The system is designed to be accessible via web browser from anywhere in the world.

As engineered, the solution allows the Diocese to control the content of more than 7,000,000 pages. The pages can be controlled by the content owners, not the IT Shop. No programming is needed to create a new knowledge management topic to share with the target audience, nor is any needed to publish the pages. The solution leverages the C-Technologies.net T3 content management engine, allowing the users to quickly and efficiently publish relevant information.

ABB desired an Extranet for its multi-national corporation. They needed to support over 160,000 employees and partners in a dynamic web environment.

Our initial task was to provide ABB with a tool that could support 8 different Extranet environments. This system needed to be designed with a high level of scalability and the capability for multiple access points.

The ABB Extranet system ties together:
– internal ABB employees
– customers
– vendors
– business community

The Extranet acts as a Knowledge Management portal for these groups. There are up to 8×8 different functional areas of the system that can be leveraged by each site user. Access to these functional areas is restricted via name and password login. The system is designed to be accessible via web browser from anywhere in the world.

As engineered, the solution allows ABB to control the content of more than 800,000 pages. The pages can be controlled by the content owners, not the IT Shop. No programming is needed to create a new knowledge management topic to share with the target audience, nor is any needed to publish the pages. The solution leverages the C-Technologies.net content management engine, allowing the users to quickly and efficiently publish relevant information to a targeted audience.

USEPA needed a Workflow system to track tasks assigned by Technology Operations to staff from the office level, through the divisions and branches. The Management Tasking System (MTS) system is national in scope and provides the organization with a quick and easy way to create, assign, track and report on the status of any task in the organization.

The database solution incorporates:

  • Easy to use initial data entry
  • highly scalable organization structure, up to 250 Organization Unit levels
  • e-mail notification when a task is assigned to each person
  • Tasks are assignable to up to 6 people/groups at one time
  • Tasks complete notifications sent via e-mail to the task originator
  • Statistical reports by assigned organization or for all organizations
  • Overdue and Incomplete reports by assigned organization or for all organizations
  • Delegation of tasks to team members or subordinate organizations

This system is primarily designed as a management tool. The MTS system enables a few personnel to handle and track assignments throughout their whole lifecycle. Every action taken generates an e-mail notification to the person that needs to take the next action. And all actions, including delegations can be tracked and reported on by any of the authorized personnel at a higher level.

The United States ARMY was looking for a internet/intranet based survey solution that could easily be distributed to personal around the globe. The database system needed to be dynamic in nature to allow for not only surveys but be used as a rapid forms generation tool as well. The system also needed to be able to support 9,000 daily users with an additional 15 survey creators & administrators.

The ARMY was evaluating web based survey solutions when C-Technologies.net’s Surveys On The Fly was referred to them from one of our clients glowing reviews posted on an IBM website.

After receiving the Army’s full system requirements C-Technologies.net recommended Surveys On the Fly 1.0 the grand parent to the newly redesigned S3 Surveys. This solution allows for total creation of survey components through a browser based easy to use Graphic User Interface (GUI). The solution allows for over 9,000 surveys to be published at one time and can support 75,000 concurrent users.

U.S. Department of Agriculture

Posted by in Case Studies

U.S. Department of Agriculture desired an e-filings system for their coordinated facilities reporting for the testing. This system is national in scope and provides the end user facilities the ability to complete an on-line (web based) form to submit the information via the internet rather than on paper.

The database solution incorporates:

  • Web interface for the initial data collection
  • Secure logon, and verification for each facility
  • Special encryption scheme written to safeguard the information submitted via browser
  • Internal USDA workflow for the review and approval
  • Tracking of each submission throughout its life cycle, full audit trails
  • Electronic update capabilities for facilities
  • Generation of a .PDF file of the facilities submission (e-mailed to the facility)
  • Integration with the central Oracle repository for final storage of a submission

C-Technologies.net is web enabling the licensing and registration process for the Department of Agriculture. This entails designing and building the web version of an existing paper form, creating a workflow for the submitted data, and a report generator for the department. The system handles both New and Renewal Forms.

IBM – Intrgrated Voice Response

(Intrgrated Voice Response)
IVRS and Fax on Demand – Publishing documents for Fax, Phone and Web.

IBM required a single Fax on Demand software standard for a client organization. This organization is required to make accessible information about everything from job postings in the organization, to information about the Import/Export regulation for items from and to every country in the world. They were looking for an easy to use system that did not require additional software to be installed at each desktop, and that had a robust database engine that could be updated by up to 1500 personnel at one time.

Our first task was to investigate each of the divisions and branches that had Fax on Demand solution in place and gather information on each groups requirements. Phase 2 was to propose a single solution that would allow the organization to leverage their existing Fax Gateways, e-mail, desktop workflow, and web environments. The solution was C-Technologies.net’s Oxygen Fax on Demand application.

C-Technologies.net provided the integration for all of the Integrated Voice Response components as well as recordings for the systems, and import/conversion of all files. We provided IBM with a turn-key solution that met and by far exceeded their expectations.

The solution provided to IBM allows them to centrally store their information on their Domino servers from their desktops, anywhere in the World using there network. The information is published to both the Oxygen Fax on Demand solution for Fax Back service and to the Web. One storage database is leveraged for both access points, saving the personnel who update these systems 50% of the time that was used in the past.

IBM required 3 installations in 3 different locations on their network:
– Maryland
– Minnesota
– Colorado

ROI for this project is projected at 9 to 12 months from installation of the systems.
